King (In Memory of...)

All these thugs and rappers (i.e. 50 Cent, etc.) claiming they’re hard, bangers, and what not are soft & cowards compared to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Having to face what he faced back in the 1960's: receiving death threats daily, being known as an enemy of the state for speaking against the War in Vietnam, and even being opposed by backs stabbers within his own race, none of them could compare. Even when all this was happening he stood and continued to give speeches with a moral conscience, courage and strong conviction to his beliefs even as he faced depression, loneliness, and even attempts on his life (being stabbed in Harlem, N.Y., his house being bombed, chased off road, and other attempts by use of Gun fire). To say that Dr. King did not or would not understand terror like many rappers claim they have seen in the projects would be a naive understatement, Dr. King knew and understood terror & evil, and still stood for non-violence. King witnessed and coped with the murders going on around him during the time of the Civil Rights movement. For anyone to suggest that modern hate crimes, wars, terror, and other forms of violence that exists here at home and around the world today would overwhelm Dr. King if he were alive and to say that he would not be ready to give a plausible philosophical debate on this current design of violence would be false or specious. Dr. MLK Jr. has been one of the greatest produced Americans in history, period.
