The Unknown

"Love will not return to you void" a wise man once said.
The mysteries and D'evils of this world make me curious to know more
But I know my limits and boundries as a Man of God
Blessed to be on this earth, don't know how many days I have left
Promised myself, in love & respect that I would never look back
No matter how tempting or painful the dreaded scars
This pain is real, so I hope this action of writing will help heal
The deeply inflicted battlewounds I hold from years of war
Of having to fight to stay alive, and be a "Real Man"
Fear of the unknown is contaminated in everyone's blood
And that fear comes from not knowing what becomes of you after death
The dark has captivated us, what happened to the light of God?
Infatuated with the mysterious to the point of admiration, a slight obession
Captivated by it's beauty, so engulfed by the unknown that it's essentially
Become apart of me...
No turning back it seems, and I never thought I'd see the day
Even with bravery, standing in the light alone
The dark seems to be the only security, a place of comfort in the unknown...
