That you and I weren't meant, and as the truth unfolds
My soul was left alone, but you know it's cool
Because I will find another like you, sometime soon
Face to face conversation, brought an opportunity
To connect on a devine level, a formed black unity
You don't have to fear me, lady you don't have to say
A word, someone put you down somewhere and that's ok
I'm writing this time since you wouldn't write me back
I imagined us at the beach, toes in the sand
You making me laugh...
Me massaging you like a chiroprac, during dark summer evenings
Letting the breeze blow through your hair
As I am touched by your being
Feeling your hands on mine, in ways I'm too shy to speak
Searching for the moment when our eyes are bold enough to meet
But you were never good for me, and I was never good for you
Yet in still I dream of the day I see you take off your cool.
